Tryouts for the 2025-2026 season

Dates + Time

Wednesday September 3rd 4:30-6:30pm
Thursday September 4th 4:30-6:30pm

Location

The TMHS commons is our practice space. Athletes will stay at the school and can change in the athletic locker rooms and arrive promptly before 4:30pm for tryouts.

Wear: Tennis shoes or cheer shoes, athletic shorts and a t shirt or tank top, and hair up with no jewelry or nails over fingertips for safety. Also please wear spandex shorts / compression shorts / nike pro shorts under athletic shorts due to jumping and stunting.

Preparing for tryouts - Tumbling Development

• Not required, but many classes are offered to get you ready for tryouts!

Mandatory Cheer Tryout Parent + Athlete Meeting

• Location: TBD

• Date + Time: Tuesday, September 2nd, 6:30pm

• This is Mandatory for athletes and one parent / guardian who want to tryout for the cheerleading program. If an athlete has an athletic conflict, please email coach Nikki so she can meet with the parent / athlete ahead of tryouts - nrodriguez@psdschools.org

Tryouts

• How to enroll: You must pay the district athletic fee to obtain your athletic gold card. A copy of a current physical is required to obtain the gold card along with the fee payment to the district and some paperwork. This must be done ahead of tryouts and the gold card is turned in the day before tryouts begins to the front office to Coach Nikki Rodriguez's mail box. 

• Multi-sport athletes or athletes committed to other programs with conflicts - please email coach Nikki for special scheduling consideration! We want you to tryout!

Tryout Registration

Step one for registering for tryouts is filling out the form below so we can keep you in the loop. This form does not commit you to trying out but it does notify us to include you in tryout communication and to follow up with you about paperwork. You can always be asked to be removed from this list if you choose not to tryout after attending pre-tryout events! GET ON THE INFORMATION LIST!
